The Morado offers great load carrying comfort for the weight. You get a pack that doesn’t skimp on padding and is stiffened where it matters most. It also features a selection of well-thought-out accessible pockets to keep you going on long days.
I recommend you look through the pack guide if you’re unsure about sizing, fit, or fabrics.
Only in-stock packs are shown, along with packs currently in production with a short lead time (back order).
Weight is shown for the specific pack when all options are selected.

The S-shaped shoulder straps I make could be called a “women’s fit” but there is more to it. While the vast majority of women prefer these as they can better circumvent the chest, most men with a back in the short to medium back length range also find them to be the superior fit. This is due to a shape and length that is also optimized for the more curvy load path on shorter packs.
The J-shaped straps allow spreading the load across a larger area of the chest. This can give a more direct load path, especially with longer back lengths.
Both feature daisy chains with a soft and breathable 3D mesh and at least 12mm of cushy 100% Evazote foam for padding. The upper back is padded with a removable sit pad so your back is shielded from less careful packing.
Short and Medium use S-shaped shoulder straps
Long and X-long use J-shaped shoulder straps
The hip belt is well-padded with an appropriate amount of stiffening for a load transfer up to about 17kg. The stiffening tapers from behind the lumbar pad, allowing the hip belt to both swivel with body movements and transfer load efficiently without needing much tension. The taper also means that the two pull-forward adjusters can fine-tune the shape of the hip belt to conform around your hips.
Measure directly around your hips at the height of your iliac crest and 5cm above. You can use the larger of the two to determine your size. If the lower measurement is the largest, a curved hip belt is best. In all other circumstances a straight hip belt is the way to go.
The frame consists of 2 anatomically shaped tubular aluminum stays in a slight V-taper. This firmly connects the hip belt to the load lifters, bringing the stiffness and structure where it is needed most. The stays can be removed for transport or further shaping. Frame length/weight: short 52cm/78g, medium 56cm/84g, long 60cm/90g and X-long 64cm/96g.
The pack body is made with either UltraTX, EPX, or EPLX. All are high-quality waterproof laminates. UltraTX and EPX being safer options as the internal weave protects the waterproofing, ensuring a long waterproof lifespan. UltraTX has a more abrasion-resistant face fabric but is less stable than EPX. Therefore, UltraTX is more suited to demanding off-trail use, while EPX will likely last longer when used on-trail.
EPLX is both lighter and easier to patch but requires a bit more care to keep waterproof, like packing sharp items in stuffsacks.
In short:
EPLX – lightweight option for on-trail hiking
EPX – long-lasting option for on-trail hiking
UltraTX – long-lasting option for off-trail hiking
There’s 3 types of front pocket:
5L stretch mesh for EPLX packs. A very functional pocket with great stretch that allows for moderate drying and visibility of the contents.
3L Ultrastretch for smaller EPX packs. Less stretchy but lighter and more durable. Great all-around option for long-lasting packs.
7L Ultragrid for large EPX and UltraTX packs. The largest and most rugged pocket, suited for bushwhacking.
Shaped to be used one-handed while wearing the pack. The elastic can be adjusted with one hand and is replaceable. They’re perfect for water bottles and fit about 2.5-3L each or hiking/tent poles. There’s 3 drains around the bottom so they drain not matter the orientation.
They’re made with supple and hard-wearing
Large opening on the right-hand side and a smaller trash port on the left, meaning you can eat your snack and securely deposit the wrapper in one smooth motion! Made with the more durable Ultrastretch, so it also adds another layer of defense to the bottom of your pack.
Optional:
Y-shaped top strap
Side strap compression for the roll top.
The roll top has stiffeners for easy folding and buckles.
Z-elastic side compression.
The internal volume is the maximum usable capacity in the main compartment with 3 rolls on the rolltop. Pockets add up to 12L external capacity.

The pack is constructed from waterproof 2-layer laminates and sewn with binding tape. This construction is highly weather-resistant and tough, but not fully waterproof. A pack liner is always recommended for full waterproofing.
